Linen Factory (North Elevation)
Linen Factory (North Elevation)
The epitome of faded grandeur, this derelict weaving factory makes a powerful, melancholy statement about industrial decline. It’s beautiful greening roof, and broken skylights stand tall over the wasteland on which it now sits - with the ghosts of demolished rooms along the lower wall. This was John Brown & Son Barrowfield Weaving Factory in Dalmarnock, Glasgow.
A quite sizeable work, this is my signature subject matter and packed with detailed brickwork and architectural features for you to discover and enjoy. Oozing with history ,this is a real talking-point piece for your home.
